Jedox simplifies planning, analysis and reporting processes using its integrated BI and performance management solution.

Jedox is both a data retrieval tool and both a database stored or entered via an OLAP data cube. The storage technology is based on an OLAP cube and the retrieval technology by interrogating the OLAP cube via dedicated formulas and MDX queries. Data can be integrated through several means:

  • The modeler, combined with a Jedox report, allows the modeling and the manual data integration.
  • The “Data driven modeling” which allows from a structured file to integrate the data automatically.
  • The integrated ETL.
  • An ETL with a PALO connection, such as Talend.
  • Data entry by users.

Once the cube is loaded, the data is accessible either by the Excel Add-In or by the Web portal. There is also a 100% Cloud version.

Presentation and concept of Jedox

Jedox is a restitution tool centered around PALO cube data storage technology. Once IT has automated data integration, the reporting user can set up all kinds of complex reporting.

Main features of Jedox

  • OLAP server: The Jedox database is based on a real-time and multi-dimensional OLAP server (MOLAP).
  • Add-In Excel: Communication support between the Jedox OLAP database and Excel, it allows you to insert data from the cube into Excel, but also to “splash” data into the cube by entering it in Excel (entry at level the finest, on a consolidated level with distribution, relative modification of entries, etc.).
  • Web client: Excel reports can be converted to web reports. Similarly, it is possible to create reports directly from the web, with an interface very similar to the Excel one.
  • ETL: In its Web part, Jedox offers an ETL in order to automate the extraction of heterogeneous sources, manipulate them and load them into the Jedox OLAP server.

Benefits of Jedox

  • Advanced cube entry functions (oriented towards budgeting).
  • Ability to enter data both in Excel via Jedox PlugIn and on the Jedox web portal.
  • Ability to create reports both in Excel and on the Web.
  • Possible export of Excel reports to the Web.
